Commentary
The ShopperTrak National Retail Index is reporting decrease Week-on-Week of -3.9% and a decrease of -2.2% Year-on-Year.  The weekend showed a decrease of -2.3% Year-on-Year. The Year-to-Date trend reports -2.6% compared to the previous week. Furthermore, the figure recorded is worse than last year, -2.3%.

All regions realised a Year-on-Year decrease with the Eastern region suffering the highest decrease, -5.2%, followed by Northern Ireland, -3.8%. The South West & Wales, the South East, and the West Midlands all realised the lowest decrease on the year, -0.9%, followed by the North East, -2.0%.

Most regions realised a week-on-week decrease with the Yorkshire-Humber, -17.3%, followed by the East Midlands, -5.3%. The North East realised the lowest decrease, -1.5%, followed by the South East, -2.5%. The West Midlands realised a 0% week-on-week change. The only regions to realise a week-on-week increase were the South West & Wales, 6.8% and London, 0.2%.

Within Retail Parks, the ShopperTrak Index reported an increase of -1.8% in Year-on-Year footfall and an increase of 0.1% on the week. The weekend showed a -2.2% Year-on-Year change.
